1960's   Gasoline credit cards were issued to there customers so they could buy gasoline manufacturers on credit, these included companies such as texaco, sunoco, phillips 66 ,citco, shell, gulf,  and many others.. these cards had individual account numbers as well as the name of the card holder and expiry date , these cards were the earlier version of todays credit cards but back then they lacked a magnetic security strip on back. Many old expired gas cards have been found during restoration in glove boxes , underneath seats of muscle cars ....these some cases they gave a clue to the original owner name
